I want to go back to the swing of things as swiftly as possible. And with that I’ve decided to return my old feature I called “What’s On My Reading List?”
This is a special feature on Rainy Ink where I present you the books & manga I’m planning to read or currently reading. I decided to do this in hope that I’ll able to de-clutter my ever piling TBR.
That feature of mine that reminds me I have tons of things to read. Sometimes feels like a chore, but more often an undeniable need.
January was spent to reading manga & webtoons as I already confessed so I’m quite pleased how immersed I was to reading BUT I need to channel this energy to books. I stopped reading The Shadow Queen at the middle part. I’m picking that up again because I want to review before the pub date. Then I’m adding these fellas to my stock hoping that one of these is THE ONE!
I was a huge fan of Alexandra Bracken’s The Darkest Mind series (have yet to finish it *is shot*) as much as I want to tackle old books, I’m easily drawn to pick up new releases. Shiny new books…are…shiny!!! I’m weak to temptation so yeah I am a fool! So I got me self the Passenger. Then, like Shadow Queen, Away We Go is a print ARC that I need to finish soon. I know that it was originally part of my TBR last month but that culprit as to why I still haven’t read it are down below:
I marathoned lots of long series these past few weeks. Those time were productively spent weeping for joy because of how good they are!
Arte is a good historical manga about a girl trying to penetrate the art society which is highly dominated by male artist. The girl MC is so naively passionate that is contagious! Ballroom E Youkuso is GOLD! One might think that ballroom dancing or competitive dancing is a little tamer compare to more athletic theme sports manga. But your assumptions are wrong. Competitive dancing is freaking fierce. I already have mad respect to dancers of every genre (while I can dance their level are like so HIGH!) but it escalated further. The story is so good, you guys should try it~! Of course, my list won’t be complete without a single romance series so this is Onegai, Sore wo Yamenaide is for! While ReLIFE was hilarious with touch of drama. It was well put together slice of life series. I really loved it! And finally the two that left me speechless and a ball of freaking feels (especially the latter): Piano no Mori and The Breaker & The Breaker: New Waves!!! I’m saying my piece on my rec posts that I’ve prepared! A warning though: lots of feels induced rambles in those said rec posts!
And there you have it! What a wonderful start of the month by being productive–reading wise! Since I caught up with everything there is to catch in my manga list, I hope it’s enough drive to touch my bookish TBR. I know, I know my priorities are obviously biased and undeniably screwed!
So how about you, how’s the reading pile? Overwhelming like mine? Care to share it with me?
