Brand new week means spanking new reads.

hott-off-the-pressHot of the Press is a weekly meme where I showcase books that I’m planning to read that due to be published this week. Plus, if I’m fortunate enough to have read the book and already reviewed them courtesy of the advance copies I received; I will also highlight them here. Just in case you need a little help deciding if you want to read it and want prior opinion about it. You are very much welcome to read at my weird reviews. :P

Planning to Read: March 23 – 29

  • Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters #2) by Krista Ritchie
  • Nearly Gone by Elle Cosimano
  • Soul Screamers, Volume Four: With All My Soul\Fearless\Niederwald\Last Request (Soul Screamers #7, 0.4, 7.5) by Rachel Vincent

I haven’t read the first book of the Calloway Sisters series (and yes, even Addicted to You but my sister loved these books so I’m still considering them). I already read With All my Soul but I still decided to buy the omnibus because of the new content. I mean the Hudson brothers always have place in my heart. This series was one of my biggest obsessions. Bookdepository said they dispatched my order last week, so I’m tapping my finger while waiting, ha!

Read or Reviewed:

  • Twisted (Tangled #2) by Emma Chase

Gaah, I can’t review this one. I just can’t. I might be spilling unnecessary information that I think will ruin your reading experience so I’ll just refrain my reviewing. Hints are available in my not short, bulleted review over at goodreads.

Week 12. In a Nutshell

It’s very disappointing week, I didn’t review anything. GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! But I did launch a new feature so that wasn’t a complete failure. Anyways, will do some major catch-up this week. *pushes sleeves and prepares to work*

How was your week, guys? Any news you would like to share? Eyeing new releases, too, care to share it with me? :YAY:

  1. All of the Soul Screamers omnibuses look super gorgeous! I’ve only read the first book in the series, though, and I’m not really sure if it’s worth continuing! Haha! Thanks for sharing, Mitchii. :)

It becomes better and better. It’s a pretty long series, 7 books in total but I love every single book. I hope you’ll pick it up again. :D

I just have to say this: love love LOVE your blog design and those cute feature banners! And also, the name of your blog is ingenious. Love it! So simple but classy at the same time. Yay for minimalistic styles! :D

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Nearly Gone — I love the gritty-looking cover and the sound of the premise, though I haven’t been seeing too many reviews for it around the blogosphere. Hope you enjoy it! And I agree with Aimee: the cover for the Soul Screamers omnibus looks GREAT. I really like the colors of her dress, though I’m not a fan of patchwork…

Heh, don’t feel bad about not reviewing stuff. I’m actually on hiatus right now with a truckload of ARCs to read when I get back, so I’m going to be feeling guiltier than you when my hiatus finally ends. T_T As for new releases, well, this one’s releasing on April 1, so does that count? :P Anyway, I’m really looking forward to This Side of Salvation by Jeri Smith-Ready — it sounds so original and different, and I MUST know what happens next! I can probably name a few others but I think this comment has gotten long enough.

Hope you have a great week, Mitchii! I really like your blog, so I hope I’ll get to see more of you soon. :)

Aw, thanks so much Megz. It’s always nice to hear that people like it despite the obvious simplicity of it.

I’m excited to read it, hopefully I’ll get my copy soon. I think the patchwork is to represent all of the colors from the entire series (since this is the last one). Although it looks splattered of colors to me, haha.

Thanks, hope it’s a great comeback for you. :D
