I have come to appreciate the wonders of being organized! Preparing future post is such a good thing to do. Although I still find my style to be on the spontaneous side of things. But whenever new ides came, I always made sure to take note of it. Instead of my usual attitude, “I’ll post this because I can!”—though I sometimes still cave in to that impulse! Baby steps, self. Baby steps.
February in Nutshell
I think I was semi-productive when February rolled in. I managed to do my special 4-week feature, Shoujo Fanfare with ease! It was always great experience doing it. Writing about it was loads of fun for me because I’m severely passionate of the topics I was discussing. By now, I think people should know how fiercely in love I am with shoujo/josei series.
So what did I chat about in this one month feature? Well, lots like: I told you why I read shoujo manga. Then I also divulged an easy way to have me reading shoujo/josei care of these tropes. I brought the house down when I showcased boys, boys, and more boys!!! And for the final round I talked about my ships—not just one kind of ship but FIVE of ‘em! What a fun this event was! I want to do something like this in the future again (perhaps shounen/seinen this time?)
But not only I that but I did some other stuff too:
My very first time to participate on Love-A-Thon and it was very enjoyable! I only managed to join one twitter chat because I wasn’t available on the others but it was fun to do. I also did my very first attempt at spine poetry & obviously my lack of skills was showing, haha. Nevertheless, hope to be able to do that again next year.
On some otaku stuff, I posted about my first impression on my anime winter watch list! Boku Dake ga Inai Machi slays them all. This anime is so good you guys! But that wasn’t all, I was hyping last month: you should also be considering reading The Breaker & The Breaker: New Waves after that rec post I did.
Other fandoms, passion & whatnots:
- I did lots of reading—it’s still manga though ^^; those were shoujo and josei series actually and most of them are new series and they are awesome! Watch out for my monthly “What’s on My Reading List?” to see which ones is which.
- I may or may not be doing reviews anymore. I decided to do rec posts instead of reviewing. I believe in the power hyping a series I love than spending time talking about something I didn’t. But things aren’t cemented yet so we will see.
I look forward to—!
- I have some discussions, a bookish special post and some otaku stuff prepared for March. All is good to go. As I said in the intro I have seen the light of the day; Preparation FTW! LOL.
PS: I have headache while writing this so if it sounds odd (than usual) I apologize.
So that’s what had rolled down this February, so now I turn over to you beautiful people: How was February,?! Fun? Exciting? Whatever that is, share it with me!!!
