    On Spotlight: Amaama to Inazuma

    On Spotlight: Amaama to Inazuma

On Spotlight: A special post where I feature some of my favorite reads! Apart from my occasional “great rec post!” I’m also keen on giving full or TL;DR post on series: may it graphic novels or in the future books that I truly loved. And perhaps you might pick this up and read it, too! 甘々と稲妻 1 It’s been almost 8 months since I last did a full recommendation post. But I feel like there’s no lacking of recs from—

    Oh the Youth! (Part Two!)

    Oh the Youth! (Part Two!)

I can’t promote Kono Oto Tomare enough! It’s one my favorite series right now. #animewhen? この音とまれ! © Amyuu/Jump Square/Shueisha Inc. Wow, I can’t believe that it’s been almost over a year since I debuted this little monster. And I left a note there that I had plans to have a part two of that! And let me tell you I have already chosen which ones I’ll be giving the spotlight to; but at the last minute I decided against it—

    The Great Webtoon Rec Posts!

    The Great Webtoon Rec Posts!

So get your pen and paper ready because it’s another great rec post from moi again! Ah~ I loved giving recs! I love shoving beautiful pieces of different literary forms in people faces! And the satisfaction I get when people said they liked— loved even, on the things I rec is so blissful! I’ve done too many shoujo/ josei recs to count! And I’m still preparing for my great shonen one (yeah, get ready for that one!) but let’s go—

Deathberries and Long Running Series Endings!

Deathberries and Long Running Series Endings!

This is kinda an impromptu post not exactly part of what I had scheduled this month. But I promised myself that if Bleach finally ends, I’ll read the final chapter. I had no longer any interest to catch up with the manga (maybe just about my ship but this manifesto solved that for me) but I am curious on how Kubo will wrap-up his manga. I remember the glory days of this series, being hailed as the “big 3,” many—

How do I keep up with my manga series?

How do I keep up with my manga series?

I’m very up-to-date kind of fan when it comes to my favorite series. I know it’s not a requirement or necessary to be one but patience isn’t exactly my bestest virtue!  So I try my damn hardest to keep up with the releases; be it via magazine or volume releases! (but if you’re a patient manga reader then more power to you! Me, however, is a slave to my desires *flops on the floor*). I’m currently following so many series—

    Splurging on digital manga!

    Splurging on digital manga!

I’m sharing to y’all my experience on buying digital manga. And yes, this is legit guys so don’t worry (no hocus pocus I swear!). However, and unfortunately for some of us who isn’t fluent in Japanese, the manga titles are completely in Japanese. And the website, as you have already guessed by now is also entirely in Japanese. So yeah that’s the biggest gripe there, nonetheless for those of you who don’t mind or like reading raws/comfortable reading in Japanese—

Travel the world through manga! (Part One)

Travel the world through manga! (Part One)

I love reading manga because I’m a big fan of Japanese culture, tradition and history (not as huuuuge as my two sisters are). There was a time I spent two hours hearing the Tokugawa era narrated by my little sister—who is a huge historical junkie as I said. And no, it’s not limited to just Japan, but I digress.) But I do appreciate historical manga and the great thing about graphic novels, it has pictures! I’m not as big of—

They’re doing a pretty good job!

They’re doing a pretty good job!

The thing about reading manga & watching anime is how they make what seems to be at first simple but can be a lot more interesting and complicated. They set the bar high so to speak. Like for example, toys can be used as weapon, or what might consider by some such a meek task can be an explosive kind of event. I’m always fascinated with how they play on ideas very differently, something that even I couldn’t imagine (but—

Shoujo Fanfare #4: All these kinds of “ships!”

Shoujo Fanfare #4: All these kinds of “ships!”

This is final part of my Shoujo Fanfare. I hope you enjoy my nonsensical ramblings about shoujo and josei. I can’t believe that a month just flew by and now I’m posting this last piece I had prepared for this special feature. But once again, let me refresh your minds: Hello, this is Shoujo Fanfare, Rainyink’s Love Month Special Feature! In four weeks I will (try to) showcase my obsession with shoujo (and josei) manga. If you are fan of—
