Hi, this is gonna be my first EVER to participate in an event like #LOVE-A-THON so I hope I’ll do it it right. I’m not really good at group events but I’ll try to do it well. I’m in you care, everyone~
(Super duper late posting this.)
What’s your name?
I’m Mitchii! *bows*
Where in the world are you blogging from?
How did you get into blogging in the first place?
I used to be active on livejournal but because there were problems with the site, some users moved to other platforms. I was one of them. I was (& still am) hosted under a private server so I decided to install WordPress, then made a personal blog. But most of my posts were bookish so I rehauled it and became a book blog.
How did you come up with your blog name?
What genre do you read and review the most on your blog?
Anything…I think. I mostly read & rec manga (Japanese Graphic Novels) as of this moment. But as in demographic wise, I lean towards YA & NA.
What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews?
Anything goes. I do rec posts. Also reviews. I have in-house features. Then sometimes when mood strikes I do special features like what I’m doing right now.
Best blogging experience so far?
A lot! But I think the bestest is meeting people who have the same interest like I do. It’s kinda hard to do that in RL. So to be able to fangirl with my online friends is nothing less than awesome.
Favorite thing about the blogging community?
Fun events such as this. And camaraderie!
Name the 5 books you’re most excited for this 2016!
Oooh~ I have ten books prepared for that. Here ya go!
Name the 5 books you want to read this 2016 that you didn’t get to in previous years!
Most of the titles in this post. I feel ashamed having neglected by TBR for so long. *weeps*
What’s an underrated book or series that you think everyone should read?
I’m such a mainstream person and I know this series is probably popular already but aside from Shatter Me series, Soul Screamers (series) by Rachel Vincent is one of my all-time fave YA series. You guys should check that out if you still haven’t. Oh also, The Eternal Ones by Kristen Miller is awesome!
Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF?
I think Kenji from Shatter Me series. I love funny guys, they make my oh so boring life interesting.
Which book boy or girl would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend?
Ugh, hard but I guess Warner (Shatter Me), still. I mean I made 3 months special for him. That got to say something about my obsession with the boy.
Who would you recruit for your apocalypse squad (5 characters max)
Shoot, five. Hmmm, I’m gonna cheat this one out since I’m fresh out of options from my bookish world so I’m gonna rely of my manga faves:
- Sanji (One Piece) – someone gonna cook for us so he’s my guy. (he can make any dishes out of any ingredients so that’s very convenient).
- Hak (Akatsuki no Yona) – I need some skilled warrior (plus he’s an eye candy so that’s a plus!) *winks*
- Gintoki Sakata (Gintama) – he’s a trained samurai + he’s funny. The squad will be happy with him aboard!
- Levi (Attack on Titan) – in case we run into titans in this apocalyptic world. He isn’t the “humanity’s strongest soldier” for nothing!
- Orihime (Bleach) – We need a healer, being my squad full awesome warriors. We need someone who can keep us in maximum capacity every time.
Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests?
I love watching anime. I draw sometimes. Do web designs/development. Waste away by weeping over my favorite characters.
Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for?
Stationary and pens. Rarely clothes, haha.
At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song would be playing?
Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld.
Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV show you want turned into a book.
The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa (the main series not the spin-off)
What would your dream library look like?
I already share it here! But I love that it has all the fave books & manga there. I want my own bookish paradise!
Author you want to meet and sit down to tea with?
Sui Ishida. He’s the guy behind Tokyo Ghoul (pretty sure it ain’t going to happen seeing how reserved he is).
